Hi, I’m Nicole Hube

Welcome to my digital multimedia portfolio, where I showcase my past projects, articles, multimedia content, and collaborative works. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via text or email. For non-professional inquiries, I am available for casual photoshoots via social media.

I am a Webster, NY native, born and raised. I’ve called the same house “home” for 22 years, often in the company of my two older brothers, Matt (28) and Jeff (31).

After losing my father at age 12 to a long battle with spinal cancer, I attended Webster Thomas High School (’17) where I graduated with Regents Honors/Summa Cum Laude. During my high school career, I volunteered as a disc jockey with the local BOCES radio station, 90.5 WBER Rochester, as part of the Webster Varsity Radio Club. I was also an active member of the Webster High School Marching Band, Webster Percussion Theatre, and the Webster Thomas Literary Magazine. Oh, and I won a car my senior year. A ’17 Ford Focus called “Brendon” that I currently drive. That happened.

I then proceeded to pursue my B.A. in Broadcasting & Mass Communication with a minor in Photography from Oswego State (’20), also Summa Cum Laude. I was the Photography Director for the Oswegonian for a year and half, while also working in various capacities for WTOP-10 Oswego and 88.9 FM WNYO. I was everything from an athletic photographer to a makeup artist, floor manager, teleprompter operator, and more.

My first camera was a pink Kodak EasyShare, then a Canon Powershot, then a SONY DSC-8300. I spent all 4 years of college shooting on a Nikon D5600, before upgrading to full-frame mirrorless glass this past summer of 2021. I now shoot on a Nikon Z5.

Currently, I am the Newsroom Manager and a Copy Editor for the Palladium-Times in Oswego, NY. Much of my role involves the use of Adobe InDesign for pagination purposes and creative expertise. I also communicate with various Oswego County organizations, agencies, and nonprofits to ensure fair, honest, and hyperlocal media coverage. I just moved to Oswego and into my own apartment this past September.

I hope you’ll find my portfolio to be entertaining and perhaps, enlightening.
